We went off to the Texas City Dike last week and found an old friend. We have been seeing ONE male Long-billed Curlew there each winter since at least 2013. Chances are high it is the same bird.

Not all the time in Costa Rica was spent looking for birds. We found a bunch of cool iguanas and some frogs. And a big old toad.
Streak-headed and Tawny-winged Woodcreepers plus giant Pale-billed Woodpeckers and tiny Olivaceous Piculets. Oh, and Hoffman's and Black-cheeked Woodpeckers. A bunch of cool birds.
